What is in-situ recovery (ISR)? What advantages does it offer over traditional mining methods? And where is ISR a proven success?
Brazilian Critical Minerals (ASX:BCM) managing director Andrew Reid joins host Sarah Hughan in the Stockhead TV studio to explore these questions and more.
“ISR already accounts for about 30% of the world’s rare earths production and about 60% of the world’s uranium production, ” Reid said.
“It’s used because it’s a very simple technique and it comes with very significant capital and operating reductions.”
BCM is developing the Ema project near Apui in northern Brazil, with a scoping study on the horizon, slated for release in Q1, 2025.
