Stockhead’s Sarah Hughan sits down with Mako Gold (ASX:MKG) managing director Peter Ledwidge to close the books on 2023 and gain a sneak peek into what’s around the corner.

While Mako’s main game is gold, the company made a pretty significant manganese discovery at the Korhogo project in Côte d’Ivoire in August.

Ledwidge says rock chip samples returned over 20% manganese, which was then followed by a 10 hole drilling program. “Eight out of the 10 holes hit, this is on two zones that are each 7km long,” he says.

“That was pretty exciting, and we also did some drilling at our flagship Napie gold project across new targets with some really nice results so it’s been a pretty good year.”

Tune in to hear what’s coming up for Mako Gold in 2024.
