Long Shortz with ClearVue Technologies: Gen-3 Solar Glass delivers 66% more power at half the cost
Tylah Tully speaks with ClearVue Technologies (ASX:CPV) CEO Doug Hunt about the company’s breakthrough Gen-3 Solar Vision Glass.
Independently validated in partnership with the National University of Singapore, the new glass delivers a 66% increase in power output at 50% less cost – a major step forward in building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV).
Hunt explains how Gen-3 works, reducing the cost gap with standard glazing and improving payback periods for developers.
The technology also includes innovations in seal integrity, junction box cooling, and design flexibility, making it suitable for facades, cladding, and roofing without compromising aesthetics.
Looking ahead, ClearVue is advancing new cladding products, metallic back panels and improved framing and electrical systems, supported by R&D partnerships with universities in Singapore, Melbourne, and RMIT.
