Long Shortz with Andromeda Metals: Breakthrough in HPA unlocks billion-dollar potential
Tylah Tully speaks with Andromeda Metals (ASX:ADN) acting CEO Sarah Clark about a breakthrough in high purity alumina (HPA) development and the company’s fully permitted Great White project in South Australia.
Clarke explains how Andromeda has developed a novel processing flow sheet capable of producing very high purity HPA from its world-class kaolin resource at Great White.
The recently released scoping study confirms the potential for market-leading economics, projecting a post-tax NPV of more than $1 billion and an internal rate of return of 69%.
Meanwhile, the Great White project itself is development-ready with approvals in place, binding offtakes secured, and credit approval for a $75 million debt facility from Merricks Capital.
Together, these projects underscore Andromeda’s dual strategy: fast-tracking Great White kaolin production while unlocking significant additional value through low-cost, low-carbon HPA.
