Global battery metals developer Summit Minerals has bolstered its intrepid team with the recent appointment of accredited resources executive Gower He.

Stockhead’s Ashtyn Hiron sits down Summit Minerals (ASX:SUM) CEO Gower He to get the short end of the long story on the company’s latest moves.

Summit appointed He in October to help lead the company’s flagship Castor lithium project in Canada’s James Bay, where exploration recently kicked off targeting pegmatites.

He has held various senior positions throughout his career thus far, including working more than 16 years with Mitsui & Co.

Summit holds a diversified portfolio with the addition of its Stallion rare earths project in Western Australia. He said it was an inspiring opportunity to join such a company in a crucial stage of its journey to first production.

“For me, it was a no-brainer and a personal interest to try and bring a junior company into becoming an actual producer,” He told Stockhead TV.

Tune in to hear Summit Minerals’ Gower He on what it takes to bring an explorer to the production stage, why he joined the burgeoning company and what comes next at Castor.
