A chance find of pollucite mineralisation at Burley’s Chubb lithium project in Quebec may leave you asking two questions: what is pollucite and why is McCallion so excited by it?

“Pollucite is a caesium-bearing mineral…there are no mines currently producing pollucite as we speak,” he said.

“Recent reports from the US Geological Survey…suggests that caesium was being sold at nearly US$98/gram. That’s 50% more than the current gold price.”
