Valor Resources has added a highly experienced exploration executive to its board in Robin Wilson.

Wilson brings over 30 years of global exploration experience in many critical mineral commodities – in particular uranium – to his new role as technical director of the company.

He has been involved in the company since August 2021, most recently as the exploration manager, overseeing Valor’s (ASX:VAL) uranium activities in the Athabasca Basin in Canada and at the Picha copper-silver project in Peru where he was instrumental in both the expansion of the asset base as well as advancing all the projects.

With increased exploration activities in both Canada and Peru, adding Wilson to the Board is the logical next step to strengthen the core skills of the company at this stage of its development.

Adding experience as exploration accelerates

“This is a fantastic time to be joining the Board of Valor with its exciting portfolio of projects focused on the high demand commodities of copper and uranium,” Wilson said.

“The countries and regions we are operating in, namely the Athabasca Basin in Canada for uranium and Peru for copper, are geologically, two of the best regions in the world to be exploring for these commodities.

“I look forward to working with the Valor Board and the rest of the team and rewarding Valor shareholders through exploration success.”

With Wilson joining the Board, Brian McMaster has retired from his decade-long role as director of Valor Resources.

“I would particularly like to thank Brian for his support over the past 2 years since I have joined the company and greatly assisted the company building the portfolio we have today,” executive chairman George Baulk said.
