Stockhead’s ‘Garimpeiro’ columnist Barry FitzGerald is back in the studio for another instalment of The Explorers Podcast.

In this episode Barry chats with Gavin Lockyer, managing director of Arafura Resources (ASX:ARU).

Arafura is a mineral exploration company with a world class neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) resource in the Northern Territory.

NdPr, a rare earth commodity, finds its key application in the manufacturing of high-strength permanent magnets used in electric vehicles, wind turbines and mobile phones.

The company’s Nolans site has the potential to supply up to 10 per cent of the world’s demand for NdPr when in full production.

Sitting fireside with Barry, the pair discuss challenging China’s rare earths dominance, why Trump wants Greenland and the complexities of the rare earths game.
