TG Metals digs deep to grow Van Uden gold resource

  • New rig on site to drill deeper holes to test for downdip extensions of Van Uden resource
  • Expanded drill program at project funded by TG Metals’ recent $5.4m share placement
  • Surface geochemical sampling underway to extend Van Uden mineralised strike to more than 6.5km

Special Report: TG Metals has started drilling to extend down-dip resources at its Van Uden project in WA’s highly prospective Forrestania Gold Belt after raising $5.4m through a completed share placement.

With most shallow drilling at the Van Uden project now completed and samples sent for assay, a new rig has arrived on site to test downdip extensions of the current resource.

Drilling will focus on holes with planned depths of more than 110m down-hole as the rig is capable of drilling to depths in excess of 500m.

TG Metals (ASX:TG6) expects drilling to continue into December with the goal of updating the current contained resource of 227,000oz gold in Q1 2026.

Additionally, the company has been awarded new prospecting licence P77/4701 that is adjacent to and north of the Van Uden mining leases.

The strategic benefit of this tenement is enhanced by the recent discovery of high tenor gold in soil anomalies which expanded the mineralised strike along the Van Uden shear to 6.5km.

Geochemical anomalism remains open to the north, extending towards P77/4701.

“The company is well funded to continue its accelerated and expanded drilling program at Van Uden, ushering in a new phase of deeper drilling to prove down dip extensions,” chief executive officer David Selfe said.

“We are gaining more insight into the gold mineralisation at Van Uden with every new drillhole and the potential of the entire tenement package for a significant upside to the current resource base.”

Van Uden project

Van Uden is 90km east-northeast of Hyden and 120km south of Southern Cross.

It consists of four granted mining leases, four granted exploration licences, one exploration licence application and two miscellaneous licences (for haul roads).

The project is west of the Mt Holland lithium mine, south of the operating Marvel Loch gold Plant, and southeast of the Edna May gold plant.

Besides the drilling, additional surface geochemical sampling is underway to extend the Van Uden mineralised strike to more than 6.5km.
