TG Metals delivers the goods at Van Uden’s Gold City

  • High tenor gold results over thick intervals, including 15m at 1.48g/t and 3m at 8.49g/t
  • Assays indicate multiple lodes with untested potential at depth and along strike
  • Further drilling to follow downhole telemetry data analysis

Special Report: Maiden drilling by TG Metals at the Van Uden project’s Gold City prospect in WA has revealed broad intervals of high-tenor gold.

Shallow reverse circulation drilling targeted old workings in the southern portion of Gold City with the goal of developing a greater geological understanding of the area.

TG Metals (ASX:TG6) said the majority of the drill holes struck gold mineralisation, indicating several zones of prospectivity open in all directions.

The program delivered great results for the first round of drilling at Gold City, according to CEO David Selfe.

“Wide zones and multiple hits downhole indicate a very fertile environment for gold deposition,” he said.

“The drilling also confirms an apparent north-easterly plunge to the general mineralisation which is in-line with the findings from the recent infill soil sampling.”

Further drilling to follow

TG6 completed seven RC holes over 606 metres at Gold City, with most holes returning multiple mineralised intersections.

Highlights include:

  • 15m at 1.48g/t Au from 20m, including 5m at 2.69g/t;
  • 1m at 3.9g/t Au from 24m and 3m at 8.49g/t Au from 29m, including 1m at 17.67g/t;
  • 4m at 0.92g/t Au from 34m;
  • 6m at 1.08g/t Au from 25m, including 2m at 2.2g/t; and
  • 18m at 0.4g/t Au from 24m and 4m at 0.92g/t from 48m.

“We have only completed shallow drilling at Gold City so far and there is much more work to do to define the extent of the gold mineralisation, but already it is looking very promising as a satellite operation to Van Uden,” Selfe said.

“Further data analysis, including the downhole telemetry, will guide the next round of drilling at Gold City.”

Aside from downhole telemetry analysis, TG Metals also plans to complete infill soil sampling at Gold City within the coming weeks, building out the soil sampling database.

Assays are also pending for ongoing drilling at the core Van Uden deposit, and TG6 intends to investigate extensional targets at Van Uden with more drilling before the year ends.
