Terra Metals seeks to unlock district-scale opportunity at Dante

  • Phase 3 drilling targets extensions of Reef 1 and Reef 2, building on 148Mt polymetallic resource
  • Drilling will also test new targets at Dante Southwest and across the Jameson Layered Intrusion strike
  • Program designed to expand resource footprint and build out district-scale potential

Special Report: Backed by a recent $15 million placement, Terra Metals is looking to scale the Dante project’s polymetallic resource footprint and regional prospects with a fresh round of drilling.

The phase 3 drilling program will target extensions to the Reef 1 and Reef 2 prospects, host to Dante’s 148Mt mineral resource estimate, and test new areas of interest further afield.

Terra Metals (ASX:TM1) managing director and CEO Thomas Line said the phase 3 program was an exciting milestone for the company.

“This program is designed to expand the existing mineral resource at Reef 1 and Reef 2, while also drill-testing new targets that demonstrate the scale of the Dante system.

“Backed by the strong support of our recent $15 million placement, we are well funded to accelerate exploration and drive meaningful growth and new discoveries through this campaign.”

Dante’s resource estimate sits at 148Mt at 14.8% titanium, 0.54% vanadium, 0.18% copper and 0.33 g/t PGE.

Largely unexplored intrusion

Apart from stepping out the Reef 1 and Reef 2 prospects to extend strike and continuity of mineralisation at depth, TM1 is also investigating Dante’s regional potential.

Terra Metals’ regional drilling will investigate the Jameson Layered Intrusion strike, an area of geological prospectivity that runs through the majority of the Dante project.

Terra has drill tested less than 10% of the intrusive strike, with recent acquisitions offering more than 80km of potentially prospective geology.

The phase 3 drilling will investigate the Dante East prospect, as well as several high-priority magnetic and geochemical anomalies across the Jameson Layered Intrusion.

Finally, the drill rigs will turn to several parallel and outcropping reef structures across the broader Dante project tenure, testing them with the drill bit for the first time.
