Special Report: Rox Resources (ASX:RXL) and its joint venture partner have made a shallow, high-grade gold discovery at Currans Find, with recent drilling returning hits up to 55.81g/t gold.

The Currans Find mining lease is a historic, high-grade gold producer in the central part of the Youanmi project, about 5km along strike from Ramelius Resources’ (ASX:RMS) Penny West deposit.

Here, Rox Resources and its JV partner have hit multiple zones of high-grade gold in recent reverse circulation (RC) and aircore (AC) drilling at the Taylor’s Reef prospect.

The Taylor’s Reef prospect is a new unworked zone where high‐grade gold was recovered from surface during small scale prospecting.

The better results from recent drilling include 3m at 19.58 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 21m, including 1m at 55.81g/t gold from 23m.

Anything above 5g/t is generally considered high grade.

This drilling was following up recent drilling 50m east‐northeast of the original gold‐mineralised reef which intersected shallow, high-grade gold.

It confirms that this high-grade gold continues at depth.

One of the RC holes also intersected a third, very high-grade lode at shallow depth that is ‘open’ at depth and along strike.

‘Open’ just means Rox hasn’t hit the edges of this potentially massive system yet.

This discovery at Taylor’s Reef is understood as a continuation of high‐grade gold lodes at the Currans North Prospect – and together, this forms a ~900m-long high-grade target zone for further drilling.

The JV is now planning more drilling ‘along strike’ of Taylor’s Reef, as well as beneath the recent high-grade gold intersections to see how deep these multiple gold-mineralised quartz veins go.
