Stock analysis veteran and lover of the resources game, Peter Strachan, is back for another instalment of the Rock Yarns podcast.

In this episode Peter chats to Tim Harrison, managing director at Ionic Rare Earths (ASX:IXR)

Ionic Rare Earths is developing the Makuutu rare earths project to be a globally significant producer of the both heavy rare earths oxides (HREO) and critical rare earth oxides (CREO), providing a viable large scale, low cost alternative supply chain outside of China.

The company is developing the large scale Makuutu ionic adsorption clay (IAC) deposit, which the company says has one of the highest value ‘baskets’ of all REE projects in evaluation today.

It recently made headlines as it kicks off the mining licence application process for its Makuutu project.

Tune in to hear Peter and Tim discuss the mining licence application process and its move to trigger 60% ownership of project developer Rwenzori Rare Metals.
