• Regener8 Resources secures North Achilles project that could host repeats of the third-party Achilles polymetallic discovery
  • Mineralisation at Achilles controlled by the north-striking Achilles shear zone that extends into North Achilles
  • Reconnaissance field work expected to start in March 2025 quarter

Special Report: Regener8 Resources has been granted the North Achilles project that is adjacent to the third-party Achilles polymetallic discovery in NSW’s highly prospective Lachlan Fold Belt.

The new EL9718 tenement – formerly ELA6755 – is adjacent to and abutting tenements held by Australian Gold and Copper (ASX:AGC), whose drilling had returned outstanding results including 5m at 16.9g/t gold, 1,667g/t silver, 0.4% copper and 15% lead and zinc that confirm Achilles is a significant silver-dominant polymetallic find.

More importantly for Regener8 Resources (ASX:R8R), AGC’s drilling confirms the polymetallic mineralisation at Achilles is controlled by the north-striking Achilles shear zone, which has been interpreted from geophysical data to continue north into North Achilles.

This provides Regener8 with an immediate target area to focus initial exploration for further occurrences of Achilles-style mineralisation – a shallowly covered and previously unexplored section of the prospective shear zone.

Both Achilles and the company’s North Achilles projects are situated within the exciting Cobar district of the underexplored central Lachlan Fold Belt.

Everybody needs good neighbours

“Securing the North Achilles tenement is an exciting milestone for Regener8,” managing director Stephen Foley said.

“We are fortunate to have a proactive and successful exploration neighbour in AGC who are unlocking the understanding and potential of the local geology. We hope to emulate their success over the coming year with North Achilles.”

R8R plans to apply locally proven exploration techniques to a previously unexplored and structurally favourably area near known polymetallic mineralisation in the south Cobar region.

Over the coming months, it will progress land access arrangements, and meetings with landholders and relevant stakeholders.

The company also plans to carry out reconnaissance field work in the March 2025 quarter.
