• R8R acquires new tenement adjacent to, and abutting Achilles discovery
  • Achilles returned drill intercepts of up to 5m at 16.9g/t gold, 1,667g/t silver, 0.4% copper and 15% lead and zinc
  • R8R planning high impact exploration strategy for the project

Special Report: Regener8 Resources has acquired a new tenement immediately adjacent to the high-grade polymetallic (gold-silver-zinc-lead-copper) Achilles discovery in NSW.

The tenement ELA6755 – or North Achilles – is adjacent to and abutting tenements held by Australian Gold and Copper (ASX:AGC) where approximately 2.2km south, the Achilles discovery was recently made.

This discovery displayed outstanding drill results including 5m at 16.9g/t gold, 1,667g/t silver, 0.4% copper and 15% lead and zinc.

This underexplored tenement is located in one of Australia’s exploration hotspots – the Cobar district – and provides commodity and geographic diversity to Regener8 Resources’ (ASX:R8R) portfolio of critical metal projects.

Cobar is well known for hosting outstanding high grade orebodies including Metals Acquisition’s (ASX:MAC) CSA copper mine, and Aurelia Metals’ (ASX:AMI) Peak and Hera polymetallic (gold-copper-silver-zinc-lead) mines.

Following in AGC’s footsteps

R8R is highly encouraged from AGC’s continuing exploration of Achilles, indicating the strike of the mineralisation remains open to the north and south, with lookalike IP and geochemical targets extending north of the discovery towards ELA6755.

“Securing this tenement in a highly prospective and renowned location provides Regener8 with optionality and diversity into its portfolio,” R8R managing director Stephen Foley said.

“The Achilles discovery by AGC is extremely exciting with outstanding gold, silver, lead and zinc results and ongoing exploration from AGC and SER indicates that the potential for discoveries in the area has just begun to be realised.

“AGC have shown impressive leadership from their exploration approach through to community and stakeholder engagement.

“We hope to emulate their success across these aspects and create value for Regener8 and our stakeholders with our approach.”

Moving forward

R8R intends to leverage the growing geological and exploration understanding of the local mineralisation to explore the northern Achilles Shear for similar occurrences.

The plan is to commence development of exploration strategy for North Achilles, meanwhile R8R will continue to pursue its maiden exploration campaign at the East Ponton project over the coming months.
