A golden program of 15 holes for 2,310m has been completed with samples sent to the laboratory in Adelaide.

Indiana Resources has wrapped up drilling at the Minos prospect within the Central Gawler Project in South Australia, ahead of anticipated results in January.

A calcrete geochemistry sampling program across the Partridge, Earea Dam and Ealbara Prospects has also been completed, with results expected to identify further gold anomalies, mineralisation trends, and assist with drillhole targeting.

Results to set exploration foundation in 2022

Indiana Resources (ASX:IDA) executive chairman Bronwyn Barnes said ticking RC drilling off its list underlines the company’s commitment to advancing exploration across the Lake Labyrinth Shear Zone.

“Along with the calcrete sampling, results will set the foundations for an expanded exploration program in 2022 once all necessary regulatory approvals are received, unlocking the potential of the Central Gawler Craton Gold Project,” he said.

“We look forward to a strong program of activity in 2022 that will ensure a consistent news flow from our Central Gawler Craton Gold Project.”

Tightening density and extending lodes

Around 15 holes were drilled for 2,310m in a program focused on tightening the existing drill density and extending the lodes at depth.

Previous drilling has outlined a 600m strike extent of shallow, near-surface mineralisation with results including:

  • 38m of 6.54 g/t gold from 29m, including 16m at 13.12 g/t gold from 37m
  • 21m at 8.43 g/t from 176m, including 1m at 159 g/t gold from 185m
  • 2m at 18.4 g/t gold from 162m, including 1m at 35.6 g/t from 163m

Meet the calcrete

IDA has wrapped up calcrete sampling at a series of locations to assist the team with accurate drillhole targeting.

Locations such as the Partridge prospect, Earea Dam prospect, and the Ealbara prospect have all received calcrete sampling – samples will be analysed for gold and additional pathfinder elements to identify mineralisation.
