Labour hire company RBR Group has won a contract for an undisclosed amount assessing potential workers for a giant Mozambique LNG project.
Investors loved the news, sending the RBR (ASX:RBR) share price up 25 per cent to 1.5c.
RBR wants to supply assessment, training and labour hire services to the impending construction boom in Mozambique.
This new contract will see RBR conduct a nationwide skills assessment program in Mozambique, which is preparing for construction of the giant Anadarko Petroleum-led LNG project.
US company Anadarko Petroleum (NYSE:APC) is building Mozambique’s first onshore LNG development with initial capacity of 12.88 million tonnes per year.
Anadarko plans to make a final investment decision early next year and construction is expected to start by the end of 2019.
