• Many Peaks Minerals starts aircore drilling targeting priority undrilled gold targets at Ferké
  • Targets were prioritised by recent auger sampling that highlighted several anomalies
  • Aircore drilling to be followed by RC drilling to test targets below the weathering to fresh rock interface

Special Report: Many Peaks Minerals has launched a 160-hole aircore drilling program targeting priority undrilled gold targets defined at its Ferké project in Côte d’Ivoire.

These targets were prioritised in recent auger sampling programs in the southern 9km extent of the >16km long Leraba gold trend, which had highlighted several anomalies including two large 340m and 650m wide anomalies that are 1.9km and 3.8km north of the Ouarigue South prospect respectively.

Auger sampling also returned an unusually high peak assay of 18.5g/t gold about 3.8km south of the Ouarigue target in an area that was associated with previously defined gold in soil anomalism of >30ppb gold.

Many Peaks Minerals (ASX:MPK) says the +5000m program is designed to confirm sub-surface gold anomalism in the weathered/oxide profile at prioritised surface gold anomalies.

Drilling is expected to take three to four weeks to complete with first results expected by mid-to-late April.

Ferké and the road ahead

MPK acquired Ferké as part of a package of Cote d’Ivoire assets last year with the expectation that it could quickly build an inventory of high-grade ounces.

The 300km2 project hosts the mostly undrilled Leraba gold trend, stretching beyond 16km on the eastern margins of the Daloa greenstone belt, and has data from more than US$4m of previous successful exploration expenditure.

While Côte d’Ivoire has the same Birimian rocks which account for swathes of West African gold and some big-name mines, it has historically lagged its neighbours when it comes to production. But this is changing as investment dollars flow to Côte d’Ivoire thanks to political instability in larger historical producers Burkina Faso and Mali.

Many Peaks itself is keen to help Côte d’Ivoire realise its potential.

Once aircore drilling at Ferké is completed, it plans to run a +4000m reverse circulation drill program from mid-April to mid-May to test several robust drill-ready targets.

These targets are based on integrated geophysical and geochemical datasets, highlighting targets below the weathering to fresh rock interface that allow the company to proceed before the aircore assays are received.

Follow-up diamond drilling is planned for the following June 2025 quarter.

Assays are also imminent for six diamond holes totalling 1285m that were drilled at the Ouarigue prospect central to the corridor of targeted drilling along with assays for near surface channel sampling across several shallow auger anomalies.

Detailed mapping and further sampling at surface are in progress for these shallow anomalies along an aggregate 2km of planned sampling.
