Perpetual’s Isabella delivers lithium trend up to 3km long and over 5pc Li20 in Brazil’s Lithium Valley

Special Report: High-grade lithium has now been discovered and confirmed at three locations along a 3km pegmatite corridor within Perpetual’s Isabella project.
First assay results from maiden exploration at the newly acquired Isabella project have returned up to 5.4% Li2O, targeting known spodumene-bearing artisanal workings and exploring the broader license area.
A total of 35 samples from the recent reconnaissance exploration program have been received, with results for 28 samples still pending.
Over 50 artisanal workings have been instrumental in accelerating exploration efforts, providing ideal access to subsurface geology through tunnels extending up to 150m directly through the pegmatite formations.
Pegmatites are often the host rock for spodumene mineralisation, and usually have much higher lithium concentrations than in brine, which may mean a more economically viable operation – especially if they contain saleable by-products such as tin and tantalum.
Regional trend over 3km
A largely underexplored regional trend has also demonstrated significant exploration upside, with lithium mineralisation and spodumene identified along its extents.
The trend remains open along the regional interpretation, suggesting the potential for over 3km of prospective mineralised corridor when extrapolated at both ends.
Perpetual Resources (ASX:PEC) says strong continuity is confirmed through eight rock chip samples, with assays exceeding >1% Li2O from limited sampling spaced up to 1km apart.
The Isabella licence area is strategically positioned nearby to some of the most advanced and largest hard-rock lithium producers in South America, including the recently approved mine and processing facility at Atlas Lithium’s Das Neves operation, which looks to anchor the area as a critical hub for lithium development.
It is also about 3km from Sigma Lithium’s Sao Jose advanced spodumene exploration project.
The current exploration program is expected to delineate near-term drill targets, which are expected to be targeted by Perpetual in 1H 2025.
“Isabella is quickly proving itself as a prime exploration opportunity in the heart of the prolific Lithium Valley in Brazil,” PEC executive chairman Julian Babarczy said.
“In just a few months, we have expanded on initial reconnaissance findings and have confirmed spodumene mineralisation in multiple locations along an initial two pegmatite trends extending over >1 km, with clear potential for additional growth.
“We look forward to sharing additional results from Isabella shortly and to advancing this exciting project to drilling in 2025.”
Additional reconnaissance programs will be carried out in the coming months, which will continue to target known and prospective LCT-bearing occurrences.
Efforts will also include an initiation of environmental and local landowner approvals, as well as advancing the formal drilling approval process.
Results from further laboratory test results are expected in the next 2-4 weeks.
