Special Report: Perpetual Resources has confirmed standout caesium grades from its Morro Grande prospect in Brazil’s Lithium Valley, strengthening the case for what could be a significant new caesium discovery.
Certified overlimit assays from samples reported last month have returned grades as high as 28.3% caesium oxide with other standout results including 27.9%, firmly establishing Morro Grande as a highly enriched LCT-style pegmatite.
The samples were collected from waste dumps next to historical pollucite mining areas and near recent drilling sites at Morro Grande.
This link between old workings and modern drill data underscores the potential for new zones of high-grade mineralisation still to be uncovered across Perpetual’s (ASX:PEC) Morro Grande project.
Drilling beneath these dumps has already intersected anomalous caesium and other critical minerals, including a 1m hit at 1.83% caesium oxide from 36m.
Overlimit testing conducted by ALS Laboratories in Belo Horizonte has now confirmed just how rich these samples are – with multiple assays returning above 17% caesium oxide and several surpassing 20%.
Perpetual believes the results provide strong confidence in the presence of high-grade caesium lenses within the Morro Grande system.

Comparable with highest caesium grades globally
PEC executive chairman Julian Babarczy said Morro Grande’s potential is comparable with some of the best of its peers.
“The results reinforce our view that the area represents a uniquely enriched LCT pegmatite system with exceptional potential,” he said.
“Morro Grande’s history as a pollucite mining site is further validated by these assays, confirming substantial high-grade mineralisation.
“Combined with our earlier drilling success at Igrejinha, these results position Morro Grande as one of Brazil’s most exciting caesium-rich pegmatite systems.”
Perpetual is now following up its assay results with an active exploration campaign at Morro Grande and at the nearby Renaldinho project.
The team is carrying out geological mapping, soil and stream sediment sampling, and rock chip collecting to build a clearer picture of the mineral system.
A key focus is the northern end of the Igrejinha mining right, an area that could represent an extension of the Morro Grande pegmatite field.
The program will also test whether the Gonçalves lithium target, currently being advanced by Lithium Ionic next door, continues into Perpetual’s ground.
