Special Report: Torque Metals’ upcoming maiden resource estimate for its Paris gold project in WA’s Goldfields region is likely to be a ripper with diamond drilling thick, high-grade gold intersections.
Assays have been received from four of the six recently drilled holes from the 1105m program with standout results being:
Torque Metals (ASX:TOR) notes that these results are significant as they demonstrate that Paris mineralisation extends updip into shallower zones.
Paris is a shallow, high-grade, high-recovery (>96%) gold project located close to processing infrastructure and surrounded by producers such as Goldfields, Westgold and Northern Star among others.
Previous drilling returned notable intersections such as 5m grading 14.12g/t gold from a down-hole depth of 157.85m and 41m at 5.93g/t gold from 188m, proving that the project hosts a large gold camp.
Adding interest, assays of up to 16m at 4.19g/t gold from 66m at the previously untested 1.5km gap – the Eva discovery – indicates that the HHH and Paris pits are connected.
Managing director Cristian Moreno said the drilling delivered impressive intervals, particularly from hole 2024PDD005, while the intersection of shallow mineralisation at 2024PDD004 confirmed the continuity of gold mineralisation.
The extensional reverse circulation drilling of ~7000m across the high-grade mineralised zones west of the Paris prospect is well underway.
“While these results won’t be included in Torque’s maiden mineral resource estimate, to be released in the coming weeks, they are crucial for expanding this shallow gold system,” Moreno said.
Assays are also pending for the remaining two holes in the diamond drilling program with core samples to be collected for additional metallurgical studies.
