Drilling at the Reung Kiet project has returned further lithium hits which supports Pan Asia’s model of extensive lithium mineralisation hosted in lepidolite rich pegmatite.

Step-out drilling has demonstrated extensions at depth and along strike of the existing Mineral Resource while infill drilling continues to support and enhance the Mineral R.

Notable results are 29.65m grading 0.6% Li2O from 67.85m (RKDD068) including 5m at 0.92% Li2O, 20.3m at 0.7% Li2O from 63.6m (RKDD069), and 18m at 0.54% Li2O from 142.15m (RKDD067 including 7.55m at 0.94% Li2O).

Pan Asia Metals (ASX:PAM) is continuing infill and extensional drilling at Reung Kiet with work currently underway on holes RKDD095 and RKDD096.

1km strike open at both ends and at depth

Mineralisation at the project is currently defined over a strike length of more than 1km and remains open along strike to the north and south and at depth on many sections.

“Another set of pleasing results as we near the end of the drilling program at the Reung Kiet Lithium Prospect,” managing director Paul Lock said.

“The step out drilling continues to demonstrate extensions at depth and along strike of the existing Mineral Resource and the infill drilling supports and enhances the existing Mineral Resource, which essentially means we can expect more tonnes and an upgrade from the Inferred category to Indicated and in parts Measured categories when the Mineral Resource update is reported.

“We are on track for our 10,000tpa LCE for 10 years and our recent work at the Bang I Tum Lithium Prospect provides potential to push through this target.”

Upcoming activity

Pan Asia will be upgrading the existing Mineral Resource early next year using results from holes RKDD047 to RKDD094.

Pan Asia also plans to carry out drilling at the Bang I Tum about 8km north of Reung Kiet to evaluate the recently reported Exploration Target of between 8 and 14 million tonnes grading from 0.5% to 0.8% lithium oxide and geochemistry work.
