• Mt Malcolm is set to begin extraction of the ultra-high-grade zone at Golden Crown
  • So far, bulk sampling has advanced to 12m depth at an elevation of 390 mRL
  • The extraction will provide information on geology, mineralisation and recoveries

Special report: Mt Malcolm’s bulk sampling program at Golden Crown, within the wider Malcolm project, has advanced to 12m depth and continues to generate revenue from gold sales.

The ultra-high-grade zone, modelled on previous drilling, represents up to 500 tonnes scheduled for extraction over the remaining life of the current program.

High-grade material at over 5g/t gold, is currently undergoing processing with medium and low-grade material already stockpiled.

Initial gravity gold recoveries have been promising from the first two batches of high-grade mineralised material, and further updates on the additional gold recovery batches are expected to follow.

Well-placed with infrastructure benefits

M2M has already produced gold doré bars through gravity processing of bulk material excavated from the prospect within the Malcolm Dam prospect area – a historical gold producer that yielded more than 1720oz at an average grade of 29g/t.

With excavation now advancing within high-grade zones, the company is focused on evaluating and recovering gold through gravity processing, which is being carried out at a nearby facility.

Golden Crown prospect sits within the Malcolm project that covers a large semi-contiguous area of ~200km2, northeast of Leonora in WA’s Eastern Goldfields.

The prospect benefits from established infrastructure, including access roads and nearby processing facilities, which support development activities.

Mining milestone

“The upcoming extraction of the ultra-high-grade zone represents a milestone at the Golden Crown prospect,” M2M managing director Trevor Dixon said.

“It enables us to generate further higher margin cash-flows to assist funding the program while providing information on geology, mineralisation and recoveries.

“All of which are crucial for any future mining studies on the prospect.”

M2M’s bulk sampling program is continuing to generate both revenue from gold sales and valuable geological insights, establishing a solid foundation for potential future expansion and mining development at Golden Crown.
