Special Report: Recently completed drilling returns high grades up to 8.3g/t as Moho (ASX:MOH) progresses this near-term production opportunity toward development.

In early 2020, Moho caught a +200 per cent rocket after extending known high-grade gold mineralisation at the East Sampson Dam prospect.

East Sampson Dam, near Kalgoorlie in WA, is Moho’s near-term production opportunity.

The 45-hole RC drilling program – designed to extend the gold footprint and increase confidence in the existing discovery – was completed in January.

Results from the first nine holes are encouraging, Moho says.

Highlights include:

SSMH0102:         2m @ 4.48 g/t Au from 100m

incl. 1m @ 8.31 g/t Au from 100m

SSMH0103:         3m @ 1.13 g/t Au from 115m

SSMH0105:         6m @ 2.3 g/t Au from 105m

incl. 1m @ 3.63 g/t Au from 105m, and

1m @ 6.80 g/t Au from 110m

SSMH0109:         2m @ 2.98 g/t Au from 58m

incl. 1m @ 5.26 g/t Au from 58m

SSMH0110:         2m @ 2.61 g/t Au from 61m

incl. 1m @ 4.27 g/t Au from 62m

Two holes extend high-grade gold mineralisation 20m to the south where the mineralisation remains ‘open’, which means Moho doesn’t know where the gold ends yet.

Aircore drilling will also kick off at a number of historic gold anomalies north of East Sampson Dam later this year.

“Moho’s exploration team continues to make excellent progress at East Sampson Dam,” Managing Director Shane Sadleir says.

“The latest phase 2 RC drill results extend gold mineralisation down plunge at the southern end of the prospect and highlight the potential to discover additional gold mineralisation at the prospect.”

Next Steps

A number of activities are underway which will culminate in a mineral resource estimate in the first half of the year.

A consultant geotechnical engineer will assess the competency of the rocks at East Sampson Dam to support pit wall stability design for a future mining pit.

This data will also be critical in defining the potential angles of the pit walls.

East Sampson Dam is well located close to existing gold processing facilities and mining infrastructure.

Moho believes that, if a suitable gold resource is established, it could provide important cash flow for the company.
