Thick zones of mineralisation continues to be intersected by reverse circulation drilling (RC) targeting below a 1200m by 400m zone of regolith gold at Anomaly A.

Hits such as 8m at 4.96g/t gold, 40m at 0.70g/t gold from 48m including 4m at 1.60g/t gold and 4m at 149g/t gold and 8m at 1.17g/t gold were also returned, demonstrating higher grade gold (>0.30g/t gold) has been intersected by this drilling.

Meeka (ASX:MEK) managing director Tim Davidson says these results support the view that Circle Valley is host to a potentially significant gold system.

“A petrographic analysis, amongst other technical work, is underway to confirm the mineralogy for this high-grade gold system,” he says.

“This will be completed over the coming weeks and will assist in planning the next phase of drilling in the second half of 2022.

“Mineralisation at Anomaly A remains open in all directions and Anomaly A is just one of numerous large-scale targets at Circle Valley – the gold opportunity at Circle Valley is significant.”

Rare earth assays to come

Davidson added that the company anticipates reporting 16,000m of rare earth assays over the coming two months.

“It is expected that the first batch of these will be received and reported within the week,” Davidson explains.

“Finally, we remain in contact with ANSTO on a bi-weekly basis regarding the rare earth metallurgical testwork, this is progressing well with results expected in late July 2022.”

Previous high-grade results

These latest results sit along strike from the previously reported results of:

  • 23m at 5.09 g/t gold from 13m, including 10m at 9.35 g/t gold and including 7m at 2.91 g/t gold in hole 22CVRC001;
  • 24m at 1.21 g/t gold from 24m in hole 22CVRC010; and
  • 16m at 3.06 g/t gold from 32m, including 4m at 10.80 g/t gold from 22CVRC009.
