- Many Peaks Minerals tests for extensions of high-grade gold at Ouarigue with phase 2 diamond drilling
- Drilling will follow-up the recently discovered high-grade gold shoot and the bulk tonnage mineralisation
- Aircore drilling across the Ferké project is continuing while RC drilling will start within several weeks
Special Report: Many Peaks Minerals has started phase 2 diamond drilling at its Ferké gold project in Côte d’Ivoire testing extensions to high-grade mineralisation at Ouarigue prospect.
It follows phase 1 diamond drilling that intersected extensions along strike and down plunge at Ouarigue as well as a previously undetected high-grade gold shoot within the mineralised zone after hole FNDC021 returned a 25m intersection grading 14.8g/t gold from 116m.
This is believed to be a potential feeder structure to the broader zone of mineralisation at Ouarigue and will be one of the targets Many Peaks Minerals’ (ASX:MPK) eight-hole program totalling 2000m will test in the search for mineralised extensions.
Other targets include down-plunge extensions to the bulk tonnage, intrusion-hosted style gold mineralisation highlighted by a 26.95m at 1.95g/t gold interval from 181.5m in recent drilling along with shallow mineralisation along strike of the mineralised shear corridor with favourable intercepts covering the 1.4km strike.

Drilling activity
MPK is also continuing aircore drilling across the Ferké project with more than 4600m completed over the first 150 holes of the planned 170-hole program.
Initial drill tests have been completed at numerous targets defined via high tenor auger results with the campaign expected to be completed within the coming week.
This is aimed at identifying sub-surface mineralisation associated with the auger drill near-surface anomalism.
Meanwhile, work is underway to start a planned 6000m reverse circulation drill program within the next two to three weeks.
This program will test multiple high priority reconnaissance targets generated from both auger drill geochemistry and induced polarisation surveys.
Maiden drilling will cover over 9km strike extent to the north and south of Ouarigu along with several fences of delineation drilling within the Ouarigue prospect area.
Assays from the aircore drilling are anticipated over the coming month while the RC results are expected in June.
