At the wholly owned Eastern Lefroy project, LEX is drilling for high grade gold at the Lucky Strike prospect.

In September, Lefroy announced a best-ever hit which confirmed that gold extends a further 320m along strike (for a total 780m) at least.

This 18m intersection grading 6.57g/t gold from 68m in LEFR140 included a 4m chunk grading an incredible 21.9g/t.

Anything above 5g/t is generally considered high grade.

Now, a focused diamond drilling (DD) program has commenced at the Hang Glider Hill prospect, also at Eastern Lefroy.

Hang Glider Hill is located close to the interpreted position of the regional scale Mt Monger Fault, about 17km along strike from Lucky Strike.

LEX reckons areas around the Mt Monger Fault are prospective for large gold deposits, which is why it is a major focus.

Hang Glider Hill has been the focus of reconnaissance (early) stage exploration since early 2018, following the discovery of numerous gold nuggets on surface.

In September 2018 the Company completed a shallow auger drilling program which defined northern and southern zones of gold anomalism around the interpreted position of the Mt Monger Fault. The zones correspond with the locations of the discovered gold nuggets.

The 680m-long southern anomaly is centred about Hang Glider hill.

At Hang Glider Hill, the primary focus of the current drilling program is to work out what the underlying mineralised rocks are doing. This will allow the company to launch follow up accurate and effective RC and aircore drilling campaigns.

The program will consist of 2 angled holes, about 160m apart, totalling about 400m depth underneath Hang Glider Hill.

The programme is expected to be completed by the end of October, with results anticipated in November. Watch this space.

And to compliment the drilling action by LEX, RC drilling is underway at the Zanex Prospect out in Lake Lefroy, within the Western Lefroy tenement package.

Western Lefroy adjoins and is right next to the 15moz St Ives gold camp operated by major international gold miner Gold Fields (NYSE:GFI).Gold Fields can earn a 70 per cent stake in the Western Lefroy tenement package from LEX by spending up to $25m on exploration over six years, commencing June 2018.

The miner is moving quickly.

So there is plenty of gold exploration activity out on the Lefroy Gold Project.
