• An up-to 10-hole maiden diamond drilling program has started at the Kaa prospect
  • Campaign funded with recent $2m cap raise
  • IP survey planned to start at Baloo target in Q4

Special Report: Killi Resources has started spinning the diamond drill bit at Mt Rawdon West in Queensland with an up-to 10-hole program at the high-grade Kaa gold-copper prospect.

Killi Resources (ASX:KLI) recently confirmed a new 1.8km-long epithermal gold-copper system exposed at surface and open along strike near the 1.8Moz Mt Rawdon deposit, which is operated by ASX gold giant Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) .

To date, only rock chip samples have been collected at the prospect, with no drilling ever completed.

The surface sampling reported maximum assay results of 238g/t gold, 585g/t silver, 2,860ppm bismuth, 5.35% copper and 3.58% antimony.

Drilling at Kaa

Drilling will focus on Kaa’s identified 1.8km mineralised trend and beneath the 238g/t gold rock chip sample it picked up – a discovery which shot the company’s stock price up 79% at the time.

IP anomalies and resistive structures have been delineated from survey results into targets within 200m from the surface.

Funds from KLI’s recent $2 million cap raise will also be used for an IP survey at the Baloo target, pegged to commence in Q4 this year.

The survey will cover a determined 2.5km x 1.8km copper-gold-molybdenum soil anomaly, with results to provide drill targets for a future exploration program.

“These are the first ever drill holes into the Kaa target and we couldn’t be happier to be on the ground testing the targets at Kaa for a wholly new gold-copper system,” KLI CEO Kathryn Cutler says.

“We look forward to keeping the market informed on our progress in the coming weeks and months.”
