Killi’s rock chip and soil sampling has extended the mineralised footprint of the Rocky prospect within its Ravenswood North project in Queensland’s Charter-Towers region.

Rock chip sampling results such as 5.27 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 13.05g/t silver and 0.11% copper, 224g/t silver and 0.28% copper, and 173g/t silver and 0.55%, extended Rocky’s footprint to 4km along strike.

Meanwhile, soil sampling has identified a third gold anomaly about 300m north of existing mineralisation.

Killi Resources (ASX:KLI) noted that the results indicate a rich 1.5km2 gold-silver core with corresponding copper, selenium, tellurium and indium enrichment is present at Rocky.

Proximal to the core is strong lead-antimony and zinc enrichment, followed by a distal system elevated in silver-copper-lead-antimony and molybdenum.

This geochemical fingerprint is indicative of large-scale intrusion-related gold deposits around the world and similar to the nearby Mt Leyshon and Mt Wright projects.

“Rocky is proving to be a large gold-silver-copper system, with these high-grade surface results extending the footprint of the prospect to 4km along strike,” chief executive officer Kathryn Cutler said.

“We are working through our approvals currently with a heritage survey scheduled for November 2022 to enable us to get on the ground and drill test Rocky.”

Soil and rock chip sampling

The 240 sample soil program carried out in August returned highly anomalous gold results topping up at 1,160 parts per billion gold which identified the third gold anomaly.

Additionally, the footprint for other elements such as copper, molybdenum, silver, and bismuth has also been extended north-east and south-west a further 1km in each direction.

This work also allowed the company to determine the core anomaly.

Meanwhile, the rock chip sampling has returned some of the highest silver values and extends the mineralisation footprint a further 1km east, with the system now stretching a total of 4km along strike.

Drilling will be carried out once approvals are received.
