It’s looking big at Grace as Rox’s drilling keeps hitting gold

Special Report: Drilling continues to unlock the rich gold bounty contained within Rox’s Youanmi project in Western Australia.
The granite-hosted gold mineralisation, from which metallurgical testing has already delivered exceptional recoveries, at the Grace structural corridor has now been confirmed along 2.5km of strike.
Additionally, Rox Resources’ (ASX:RXL) has confirmed a new shallow zone of mineralisation at the Grace North prospect while deep drilling has intersected the widest zone of mineralisation to date.
This wide zone at the Grace prospect is a 49m mineralised zone comprising 24m at 1.04 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 145m and 25m at 2.39g/t gold from 173m that includes a higher-grade interval of 2m at 12.31g/t gold from 195m.
Results above 5g/t gold are generally considered to be high-grade.
At Grace North, 1m re-sampling of previously reported 4m composite samples returned high-grade results of 1m at 63.68g/t gold from 49m and 3m at 10.27gt gold from 19m.
“I am particularly excited by the extent of mineralisation encountered in drill hole RXRC292, which demonstrates that not only does Grace carry very high gold grades, with 49m of mineralisation intersected, there is potential for significant tonnages to be delineated,” managing director Alex Passmore said.
Rox’s reverse circulation (RC) current drilling program is focused on the Grace prospect and is planned to consist of 126 holes totalling 16,000m. To date, 53 holes have been reported on.
Besides the ongoing RC drilling, the company will kick off diamond drilling next week to better characterise mineralisation at the Grace prospect.
This will also target Grace mineralisation at depth including drilling from the Western Side of the main pit to depths of around 500m below surface.
Additionally, Rox plans to start a shallow 12,000m aircore program in early to mid-August to target parallel north-south structures in the Youanmi granite in conjunction with a sub-audio magnetic geophysical survey.
The Youanmi project, which Rox holds a 70 per cent interest in, currently has a resource estimate of 2.4 million tonnes grading 2.97g/t gold; or nearly 1.2 million ounces of contained gold.
