Special Report: iTech Minerals has flagged high-grade copper and gold results from follow up sampling at previously unvisited prospects at its Reynolds Range project in the NT.
The project consists of three exploration licenses covering a total of 375 km2 of the Aileron Province and is part of the >42km long Stafford gold trend.
In late July, iTech Minerals (ASX:ITM) geologists again visited Reynolds Range to map and sample additional copper-gold prospects identified by previous explorers, but not visited on the first trip in May due to time constraints.
Notable results from the Stanley prospect include:
The Pine Hill prospect returned 55g/t gold and 2.4% copper and 1.6g/t gold and 0.6% copper, while the Trout 2 prospect returned 8.2g/t and 2.8g/t gold and the Cutlass prospect returned 15.4g/t gold.
The company says this second phase of mapping and sampling, both following up high grade copper and gold rock chips from the first field trip and exploring unvisited prospects at the Reynolds Range project, has provided it with ‘significant encouragement’ to advance exploration for copper and gold at the project.
That continues the hits after high-grade antimony results demonstrated it had a potential bounty also of the hot critical mineral, which has doubled this year as major producer China introduced plans to restrict exports.
“Following on from high grade antimony results recently released from the Sabre (22% Sb) and Falchion (12.6% Sb) prospects, iTech is pleased to announce the remaining results from the July rock chip sampling program,” MD Mike Schwarz said.
“Reynolds Range continues to deliver impressive results of up to 29% copper and 55g/t gold from our orientation rock chip sampling program.
“The multi-element geochemistry we are finding, is helping us to characterise each mineralisation style and determine essential pathfinder elements to assist with discovery.
“We can already see a strong association between, antimony, arsenic and gold mineralisation and between copper, gold and silver mineralisation.”

In particular, the Scimitar prospect presents a drill ready target with a substantial electromagnetic target, coincident multielement soil anomaly and overlying rock chips, which remains untested by drilling.
The company has completed two more mapping and sampling programs aimed at defining new prospects and areas of gold and copper-gold mineralisation across the tenement package – with results pending.
