Errawarra Resources executes a Native Title and Heritage Exploration Agreement over its exciting Andover West project in the Pilbara, clearing the path for the all-important granting of the tenement application.

In May, Errawarra (ASX:ERW) finalised the acquisition of the Andover West project.

“This is a significant acquisition for the company; with targets to drill, and right next door to Azure’s advanced nickel-copper project, we have the right commodities in the right location and with a strong chance of exploration success,” ERW chair Jonathan Murray said at the time.

“With the electrification and decarbonisation of the economy continuing to gather pace, the successful identification of nickel sulphide deposits has potential to be value accretive for investors.

“We believe the Andover West Project provides Errawarra shareholders with exposure to highly prospective EM anomaly targets as well as regional exploration potential.”

Native Title deal paves way for tenement grant

The Native Title and Heritage Exploration Agreement (NTA) signed with the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation (NAC) is a significant milestone that now allows the tenement to progress through the final stage of the granting process.

It also provides the means to allow exploration on the tenement without impacting on those areas that are culturally significant to the Ngarluma Traditional Owners.

Priority target #1: Andover West

Although there are numerous exploration targets within the tenement area, ERW’s initial focus will be the testing of its Andover West nickel target:

This target is an historic untested VTEM/MLEM conductor anomaly within the same Ni-Cu mineralised trend in which Azure has recently made significant discoveries.

In March, Azure announced a maiden resource of 4.6Mt @ 1.11% Ni and 0.47% Cu on Azure’s adjoining tenement, just 2.8km from Andover West.

To expedite the testing of Andover West, Errawarra has already applied to Ngarluma for the undertaking of a Heritage Clearance survey.
