Special Report: Drilling continues to extend gold mineralisation at the Aquila and Crow zones within De Grey’s exciting Hemi discovery in the Pilbara.

Extensional drilling in the northwestern portion of Crow returned results including 8m at 4.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from a depth of 94m, defining new zones of mineralisation with additional lodes now extending over 500m of strike.

There is also room for these new zones to grow with De Grey Mining (ASX:DEG) saying that mineralisation remains open at multiple localities.

Managing director Glenn Jardine noted that the extensional drilling results at Crow are encouraging and that the area further to the west is being tested with one of the two aircore rigs on site.

The other aircore rig is testing the Scooby zone and targets to the east of the Brolga zone.

“Infill drilling at Crow continues to highlight higher grade lodes within the overall mineralised system including 44 metres @ 2.6g/t Au from 51 metres in HERC320,” Jardine added.

“Extensional drilling at Aquila continues to extend mineralisation to the west and downdip toward Falcon.”

Gold drilling firming up mineralisation

The latest result extension drilling at Crow continues to intersect significant wide, shallow zones of gold mineralisation along strike from the previously reported hit of 64m at 13.4g/t gold from 141m including 19m at 42g/t gold from 170m.

This area includes numerous sub-parallel zones of mineralisation over a strike length of at least 500m with mineralisation remaining open at multiple localities.

Wide-spaced extensional drilling in the northwest has also intersected additional lodes over a strike length of 500m with De Grey expecting further extensional and infill drilling in this area to define additional shallow lodes.

Extensional step out drilling at a nominal 80m by 80m spacing is continuing to the northwest of the Aquila and Crow zones that are adjacent and north of the main Brolga intrusion at Hemi.

Infill drilling is also continuing over the coming months at all Hemi zones to enable a resource estimate targeting a high level of indicated resources in the middle of 2021.Indicated resources have sufficient information on geology and grade continuity to support mine planning.
