Carawine Resources has completed an air core (AC) drilling program targeting historic drill hole gold anomalism at the Blue Bell South and Python tenements, part of its Tropicana North gold project in WA.
The program was designed to test for extensions to anomalous drill hole gold intercepts identified from historic data, including:
Carawine Resources (ASX:CWX) expects to receive results in mid-Q2 2023.
The area has had some significant historical exploration, with the Blue Bell South tenement in particular host to several historic gold prospects within and near the tenement, including Tallows, Three Bears, and Bluebell.
Notably, Blue Bell South is on the southern extent of the Yamarna greenstone belt, about 90km south of the Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources’ (ASX:GOR) Gruyere gold mine.
And the Python tenement is 30km south of AngloGold Ashanti Australia (ASX:AGG) and Regis Resources’ (ASX:RRL) Tropicana gold mine, and the Thorny Devil Shear zone, which runs immediately east of the Tropicana gold mine, extending south onto the tenement.
“We have identified multiple exploration targets from historic data across Carawine’s Tropicana North Gold Project, so it is great to see the first of these being tested as part of our regional exploration program,” Carawine MD David Boyd said.
“We look forward to receiving the results of the drilling and continuing to plan and prioritise additional programs across the project.”
