A shareholder of Caravel Minerals is trying to topple the board of the junior copper explorer.

Caravel (ASX:CVV) said in an ASX announcement last Friday that it has received a notice requesting a meeting for shareholders to vote on the removal of all directors except Daniel Ryan — and that Alasdair Cooke and Alexander Sundich be appointed to the board.

Caravel is currently pursuing legal action against Mr Cooke and two associated companies.

The company previously raised concerns with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission over share trading by Hartree Pty Ltd, which holds a 5.6 per cent stake and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mr Cooke, and other associates during a recent entitlement issue.

In January, the company received a notice of intention from Mr Cooke to put forward a resolution to have Marcel Hilmer removed as a director.

Mr Sundich is a director and shareholder of Bridge Street Capital Partners, a recent corporate adviser to the company.

Caravel’s shares were unchanged at 6.5c on Monday morning.
