After a period of unseasonal and historic rainfall across the Pilbara and central Western Australia, exploration programs have recommenced at the Earaheedy Projects.
The first program underway is drilling at Hawkins – around 40km northwest along strike from the Rumble Resources (ASX:RTR) Chinook lead-zinc discovery.
Hawkins, however, was pegged prior to RTR’s discovery, delivering a first mover advantage with all surrounding ground now fully pegged.
BPM Minerals (ASX:BPM) expects drilling to last at least three weeks, with all programs fully funded.
BPM chief executive officer Chris Swallow says while it has been a frustrating month for the exploration team – with more than 120mm of rain recorded at Hawkins, the company is eager to get back to site.
“The RC drilling is designed to test for a potentially large lead-zinc-silver mineralised footprint,” he says.
