- The company completed 11 holes totalling 1638m to infill and extend gold mineralisation at Sheoak
- Most holes intersected silica-sericite alteration associated with Sheoak mineralisation
- Results are expected to firm up high-grade potential and provide 2026 drill targets
Special Report: Auravelle Metals has wrapped up reverse circulation drilling aimed at infilling and extending mineralisation at the Sheoak prospect within its Nuckulla Hill gold project in South Australia.
The infill drilling follows up previous high-grade gold results such as 6m at 8g/t from 71m and 7m at 2.9g/t from 60m in a bid to confirm the orientation and grade continuity of known mineralisation.
Meanwhile the step-out drilling component tested the northern and southern extensions of mineralisation delineated over a strike length of at least 200m.
Auravelle Metals (ASX:AUV) notes that the silica-sericite alteration associated with the Sheoak gold mineralisation was intersected in the majority of the 11 holes totalling 1638m.
“The completion of this program rounds out a very busy and successful six months of gold exploration for Auravelle, being the company’s fourth drill program since July,” AUV managing director Andrew Muir said.
“The results from this program will yield good insights into the grade distribution and orientation of the gold mineralisation at Sheoak, as well as the prospect’s overall strike extent, and provide follow up drill targets for 2026.”

Nuckulla Hill
Nuckulla Hill sits 15km south of Barton Gold’s 1.6Moz Tunkillia gold project in South Australia’s well-known Gawler Craton.
It contains ~40km strike of the crustal-scale Yarlbrinda shear zone – a major regional fluid pathway for gold mineralisation – and hosts a number of advanced targets such as Sheoak, Bimba and Myall.
Sheoak itself has seen no drilling since the 1990s until Auravelle kicked off its maiden RC drill program.
Results to date have demonstrated its high-grade potential with the company noting they have no indications from the aircore drilling above, implying that not all historical aircore may have been effective.
Assays are pending from the 11-hole follow-up RC drill program.
