Artemis Resources kicks off drilling at Titan gold prospect

  • ARV has kicked off drilling at its Karratha gold project in WA, targeting the Titan prospect
  • The plan is to test three shallow gold targets
  • The Company is optimistic of finding shallow gold under transported cover

Special Report: Artemis Resources has commenced drilling the Titan prospect at its Karratha project in WA, with a 1,600m campaign underway as it hunts for near-surface gold mineralisation in the area surrounding the Carlow Gold and Copper deposit.

The Carlow deposit already hosts a tidy starter resource of 8.74 million tonnes at 1.3 grams per tonne gold and 0.73% copper containing 374,000oz of gold and 64,000t of copper.

Now the focus is on the Titan prospect only 2km from Carlow, where there’s been no previous drilling apart from three shallow diamond holes completed at Titan East during the March quarter of 2025.

Artemis Resources (ASX:ARV) says the potential for gold mineralisation at Titan is supported by major structural disruption interpretated from magnetic and detailed gravity data – and the fact that the prospect adjoins the Regal Thrust Zone, associated with Carlow gold/copper mineralisation.

The RC program will test three shallow targets at Titan, including widely spaced outcrops of ferruginous and brecciated chert with high-grade surface gold results from selective sampling reported during 2024.

The program will also test two undrilled gravity anomalies (G1 and G2) associated with major structures plus possible strike extensions to elevated gold assays intersected in all three holes drilled at Titan East earlier this year which included an intercept of 1m at 16.4g/t Au.

Artemis is also planning a diamond drilling program to test potential extensions to the Carlow resource, initially along a 600m zone east of the resource.

“I am happy to report the Artemis team is excited that drilling is now underway as an initial test of the shallow gold potential interpreted to exist at Titan,” MD Julian Hanna said.

“In addition to testing three specific targets, this initial RC program should also provide valuable geological and geochemical data over the wider area which is largely obscured by transported cover and is undrilled.

“We look forward to reporting results from this drilling program in coming weeks”.

Hanna – known for spearheading major nickel and copper discoveries at Western Areas and MOD Resources which generated billions of dollars in value – stepped on board Artemis earlier this year.

His appointment has come with a belief that drilling may identify additional gold deposits outside Carlow near Karratha.
