Arika Resources grows Landed at Last with more strong gold hits

  • ARI fields up to 2m at 9g/t at Landed at Last prospect in the Yundamindra gold project
  • Project in one of the best endowed gold regions of WA
  • Company now drilling Pennyweight Point target

Special Report: Arika Resources has returned wide zones of strong gold mineralisation in step-out drilling at the Landed at Last prospect of its Yundamindra gold project in WA.

The project is at the westernmost margin of the Laverton Greenstone Belt, one of WA’s best endowed gold regions and home to two world-class producing mines, – the 8Moz Sunrise Dam and 7Moz Wallaby just ~30km east of Yundamindra.

Ongoing drilling is testing the depth and strike extents of multiple known gold occurrences and newly-defined targets including the Landed at Last trend, Emerald City trend, South-Central complex and Pennyweight Point trend.

Assays from Landed at Last have returned:

  • 24m at 1.57g/t gold from 101m, including 11m at 3.05g/t from 104m, 5m at 5.21g/t from 105m and 2m at 9.20g/t from 106m;
  • 19m at 1.20g/t Au from 56m including 6m at 2.07g/t from 56m;
  • 12m at 0.96g/t Au from 123m including 4m at 2.69g/t from 131m; and
  • 40m at 0.50g/t Au from 24m including 5m at 1.19g/t from 53m.

Arika Resources (ASX:ARI) said the results confirmed Landed at Last as a priority focus for near-term resource delineation drilling, and highlighted the scale of the opportunity at the project.

Drilling kicks off at Pennyweight Point

Drilling is now progressing at Pennyweight Point testing for down-plunge extensions to a series of exceptional intersections achieved from recent RC and diamond drilling.

“Drilling targeting depth and strike extensions to the south along both the F1 and F0 faults, which form part of the larger Landed at Last system, has been highly successful delivering some impressive widths and grades of mineralisation in step-out holes,” ARI managing director Justin Barton said.

“We are continuing to see thick zones of gold mineralisation featuring internally higher grades in multiple holes, highlighting the scale and endowment of the Landed at Last system.

“These results come from the F1 and F0 structures in the southern part of the known deposit, highlighting significant potential to grow the mineralisation in this direction.

“Landed at Last has now been confirmed as a priority focus for near-term resource drilling, and we look forward to getting the rig back to the northern end of the Yellow Brick Road to start this process as soon as we can.

“At the moment, drilling is in full flight at our other priority target area, Pennyweight Point, where we are drilling to test for extensions of some exceptional thick, high-grade results reported last year.

“This is an exciting time for Arika as we start to deliver results from our top-rated prospects.”

The company also plans to complete testing of new targets along The Red Brick Road Trend – Eastern Corridor identified from recently completed geophysical surveys over the Pennyweight Point area.
