Indiana Resources is expecting to release its next highly anticipated set of exploration results in late October, after completing a significant RC drilling campaign at its emerging gold and rare earths discoveries in South Australia’s Gawler Craton.

Indiana (ASX:IDA) has completed 17 holes for 2709m at the Minos and Ariadne prospects, with samples now sent to the labs for assay.

Minos will be closely watched, given it boasts a confirmed strike length over 600m and remains open along strike in both directions and at depth.

But the rare earths potential of the Central Gawler Craton Project and Lake Labyrinth Shear Zone has also caught the eye, with assays also awaited for 72 aircore holes at the wholly-owned 5713sqkm Central Gawler Project.

These were re-assayed for the whole suite of rare earth elements, critical minerals key for green energy technologies like EVs and wind turbines, to better characterise the extent and tenor of REE mineralisation within Indiana’s Project and assist with refining priority target areas for follow-up testing.

Indiana technical director Felicity Repacholi-Muir says the company has a busy pipeline of activity ahead of it.

“The drilling program at Minos was designed to test the strike extent of the known mineralisation and extend the mineralised envelope. The program was completed safely with a decision taken in the field to extend the program following encouraging field observations,” she said.

“We look forward to updating shareholders with the assay results from this drill programme in due course. As previously reported, we have identified significant REE potential within our Central Gawler Craton Project and are eagerly awaiting assay results from the 72 aircore holes drilled within the Lake Labyrinth Shear Zone.

“We have a very busy pipeline of activity planned for our Central Gawler Project over the coming months as we continue to unlock the significant gold, rare earth element and base metal mineralisation potential.”
