Anova Metals is ratcheting up its footprint in the Jack Creek area of Nevada, US to 83.5km2.

These 32 mining claims surround the existing land package at Big Springs, where around 5,500 soil samples were collected during 2021 over an area of 17km2.

Anova Metals (ASX:AWV) says roughly 370 of these samples were collected from within these new claims, which are in the Jacks Creek area, in a program designed to evaluate the gold mineralisation potential at Jacks Creek, Golden Dome South, and Mac Ridge.

Highly encouraging results were received from the soil samples on these new claims with gold anomalies ranging up to 145ppb.

The identified gold anomalies extended south into the new claims from land secured in September 2021.

Notably, the mineralisation trend extending into the new claims is well defined by the soil geochemical data.

Onward, upward and outward bound

Surface geological mapping and trenching on the new claims are planned to begin in the second half of 2022.

This field work will assist in refining the gold-in-soil anomalies and provide guidance for targeted future drilling programs in this area.
