Oklo Resources +38%
It was a big week for breakout gold explorer Oklo Resources (ASX:OKU).
First, seasoned deal-maker Mark Connelly joined the board as non-exec chairman.
Connelly’s track impressive track record includes the $US570m tie up between Papillon Resources and B2 Gold in 2014, and the $US600m merger between Adamus Resources and Endeavour Mining in 2011.
Then Oklo exercised its option to acquire a 65 per cent interest in the Kossaya project — central to the company’s broader strategy of assembling a significant landholding within the gold-rich Birimian greenstone belts of western Mali.
The company continues to hold an option to acquire the remaining 35 per cent by July 2020.

Allegiance Coal +44%
Coal hopeful Allegiance is going to buy a fully constructed mine for a nominal $1.
The explorer entered into a deal to acquire all the shares in New Elk Coal Company, which owns the New Elk Coal hard coking coal mine in southeast Colorado.
The mine has been on care and maintenance since late 2012, but is “fully constructed and permitted for the production of hard coking coal”, the company says.
There is an existing $55m debt burden to take care of – most of which will be paid from operating cashflow, Allegiance says.

Rhinomed +41%
The Annual US Drugstore State of the Industry Report (2019-2020) has revealed that breathing medtech company Rhinomed’s (ASX:RNO) Mute product was the fastest growing product in the nasal strip category in US drugstores.
Columbia Care has partnered with Rhinomed to adapt the anti-snoring nose stent so it can deliver a slow-release dose of cannabis for, initially, sleep apnoea, pain control and PTSD.
The report said Mute led the category with 56 per cent growth in dollar terms from US based drug stores and 57 per cent growth in unit sales.
Rhinomed also received a CE Mark from the European Authority for its Pronto rechargeable, dual action, vapour release technology. The company can now sell its Pronto range in Europe.

Peninsula Energy -31%
Late last week, US President Donald Trump rejected a cap on uranium imports, bringing the long-running and disruptive Section 232 investigation to a close (for now).
This is good for uranium demand in general, but US-based miners, including ASX-listed Peninsula Energy (ASX:PEN), took a hit on the news.
Peninsula managing director Wayne Heili says while there would have been benefits for US uranium projects if some of the Section 232 petition recommendations were implemented, it believed the presidential action would put an end to the market uncertainty.
“This is positive for the uranium market as a whole as we now expect market activity to increase,” Heili says.
