Public relations firm R3D Global (ASX:R3D) and industrial air conditioning supplier Multistack International (ASX:MSI) took equal top spot in the winners list this week.
Both made gains of 200 per cent to close at 1.5c on Friday on the back of no news.
Coal explorer Resource Generation (ASX:RES) was up nearly 70 per cent over the week to end at 12.5c.
The company got a price query from the ASX earlier in the week but didn’t have a key reason for the sudden jump in its share price and volume of shares traded.
Resource Generation said it might be because of a delay in the market digesting news reported earlier in March that major Hong Kong-based commodities trading house Noble Group had agreed to lend the company an extra $US2.5m ($3.5m).
ARC Exploration (ASX:ARX) went for a run this week after it announced it is acquiring Cyprium Australia because it wants the private explorer’s 80 per cent earn-in interest in Musgrave Minerals’ (ASX:MGV) Cue copper project in WA.
Cyprium’s founders include Gary Comb and Barry Cahill — who were forced out of junior copper explorer Finders Resources (ASX:FND) last year after hostile suitor Eastern Field Developments won control of the company.
ARC shares closed the week 60 per cent higher at 20c.
Winchester Energy (ASX:WEL) felt the investor love after it reported “good to excellent” oil shows from its White Hat 20#3 well in the Permian Basin, Texas on Tuesday and then told the market today it had encountered additional oil and gas shows from the well.
The explorer said on Friday that it hit a target that wasn’t a target, the Caddo Formation, from 2km down. “The Caddo Formation is a not a target in the well but is a known oil producer on the Eastern Shelf of the Permian Basin,” Winchester explained.
Shares closed at 2.8c on Friday — an over 47 per cent gain for the week.

California-based 3D printer distributor Stemify (ASX:SF1) slumped 50 per cent this week to 0.2c before going into a trading halt.
At the start of the week, the company received a grilling from the ASX over its half year accounts.
It answered the ASX’s questions before calling a halt to trading pending news of a capital raising.
Mount Burgess Mining (ASX:MTB) slid 40 per cent to 0.3c since last Friday.
The only word from the junior explorer this week was to provide info to investors on the resolutions that will be put to a vote at the general meeting in May.
Orinoco Gold (ASX:OGX) had a bit of a bumpy week after coming out of a suspension and then being forced back into one so it could answer further queries from the ASX – this time about tailings stockpiles at its Cascavel mine.
The Brazil-focused company has faced numerous problems with production at its Cascavel gold mine, and is facing allegations of poor operating procedures, gold theft and conflicts of interest.
Orinoco is trying to raise more cash and this week launched a fully underwritten rights issue for $5.4m.
Shares tumbled nearly 38 per cent to 0.25c.
