Weekly ASX small cap wrap: who’s staying in the water this weekend?
News
There was plenty of movement over the course of the week for digital marketers engage:BDR (ASX:EN1), which was the week’s biggest winner, its shares up 200 per cent to 4c.
At the start of the week it said two integrations it announced in September and October, connected TV company Third Presence and Canadian programmatic platform AcuityAds, have gone live. It says those integrations are both generating revenue.
It was no surprise that Fenix Resources (ASX:FEX) was one of the biggest winners, after reporting high-grade results from its flagship Iron Ridge project in Western Australia as iron ore prices continue to surge.
The company’s shares 73 per cent all told, trading at 3.9c late in the week.
Syntonic (ASX:SYT) enjoyed a rise of 29 per cent this week, its shares up to 0.9c late on Friday.
The company released its quarterly update, which outlined record quarterly revenue of $1.9 million, up 90 per cent on the previous quarter, and cash receipts up 88 per cent on previous quarter to reach $1.1 million.
A 38c-per-share takeover offer from mid-tier miner Sandfire (ASX:SFR) isn’t good enough, MOD Resources (ASX:MOD) said — but the advanced copper explorer left the door open for a higher bid.
The MOD share price — which has been hammered over the past year — was fetching just 22c pre-open Monday. But it was up 50 per cent to 34c on Friday.
And the fun continued at Berkeley Energia (ASX:BKY), which has been on a run since Spanish media speculated it was about to become a top 10 uranium producer.
Its shares were up 32 per cent to 52c on Friday.

Viking Mines (ASX:VKA) fell 35 per cent to 1.1c this week, after it revealed it was struggling to sell its Mongolian assets.
“The company has today received correspondence from Altai’s agent that they are unlikely to proceed with the transaction. The company will continue to pursue opportunities to sell its Mongolian assets and will ensure the market is informed accordingly,” it said.
And Bauxite Resources (ASX:BAU) fell 33 per cent to 3.7c this week after it was forced to retract previous statements it had made about how much silica sand it has.
“The reasons for these retractions is that there is not a JORC resource to support these comments, and as a consequence the company and shareholders are advised that they should not rely on them,” it said.
