What do Australian frogs and high iron ore prices have in common? They are both going the way of the Dodo.

A new study has found that a number of Australian frog species are at ‘high’ risk of extinction in the next 20 years with four of them likely to have already gone extinct.

Meanwhile, unless you’ve been living in the outback, you would know that the spot price of iron ore has plummeted this week as the bottom fell out on demand for construction steel in China.

Small wonder then that the S&P ASX200 resources index sank 11.25% this week to 5,058.3 points while the broader benchmark ASX 200 fell 2.13% to 7,467.5 points.
