The Unicorns Podcast connects you to some of the best and brightest founders, CEOs, executives, business owners, innovators, entrepreneurs and inspiring leaders who make things happen and inspire others.

Host Justin Kelly, former broadcast journalist and PR veteran, chats with leaders from across Australia and internationally on business strategy; what it takes to build a successful company; how to overcome challenges, and advice for those on a similar journey.

In this episode, Justin talks with Theo Chambers, CEO and co-founder of Australia’s largest independent mortgage broking firm Shore Financial.

Founded in 2013, Shore is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, with Theo having built the business alongside co-founder Alex Nochar into the thriving business it is today.

Shore Financial has weathered the ups and downs of the housing market over the past decade, from 2013-14 market boom through to the Royal Commission into banking in the late 2010s, and of course the more recent pandemic-driven growth and now unease in the market due to rising interest rates.

The multi-award-winning business now does over $2 billion in settlements a year, and over the lifetime of the company has lodged $24 billion in applications and given financial advice to some 54,000 clients.
