The Unicorns Podcast connects you to some of the best and brightest founders, CEOs, executives, business owners, innovators, entrepreneurs and inspiring leaders who make things happen and inspire others.

Host Justin Kelly – former broadcast journalist and PR veteran – chats with leaders from across Australia and internationally about business strategy, what it takes to build a successful company, how to overcome challenges and advice for those on a similar journey

In this episode of The Unicorns Podcast, Justin speaks with Jamie Simpson, founder and CEO of Ranger Jamie Tours, and Anthony Ritter, the company’s chairman.

Ranger Jamie Tours is one of Australia’s leading providers of curriculum-based education programs, renowned for turning science, sustainability, and geography into high-energy, hands-on adventures for school students. Now, the company has launched a dedicated Early Learning Division, bringing that same immersive, play-based approach to preschoolers aged two to five.

Delivered onsite at early learning centres, the 60-minute programs are led by qualified educators and aligned with the national Early Years Learning Framework. From wearing ranger uniforms and lab coats to exploring local flora and fauna, running experiments, and engaging with Indigenous perspectives, the sessions are designed to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and prepare young minds for school.

With more than 100 early learning centres already on board and outstanding feedback from the pilot program, Ranger Jamie Tours is set for major growth. In this episode, Jamie and Anthony discuss how the business began, the strategy behind its expansion into early learning, and why this hands-on model is helping reshape early childhood education in Australia.
