Stockhead’s Top 10 at 10 highlights the best (and worst) performing ASX stocks in morning trade using live data.
It’s a short, sharp update to help frame the trading day by showing the biggest movers in percentage terms.
The market opens at 10am (eastern time) and the data is taken at 10:15am, once every ASX stock has started trading.
The ASX opened higher on Monday. At 10.40am AEDT, the ASX 200 (ASX:XJO) was up by 0.39%.
On Friday, US stocks pared early losses and finished in mixed territories by around 0.15%. Wall Street recorded its first back to back monthly gains in November since 2021 as inflation in the US looks to be easing.
The US Federal Reserve will convene for a meeting to decide on rates on December 14-15th.
Oil prices are set to gain this week as OPEC+ decided on Sunday to keep production steady amid sliding crude prices.
Meanwhile Russia has rejected a proposed US$60/barrel price cap on its oil exports.
China has accelerated the move towards easing its Covid-19 polices. Chinese stocks rallied strongly last week, fuelled by optimism the economy may pick up again.
The RBA is set to hand down its last interest rates hike for the year when the board meets tomorrow.
A survey of 40 experts and economists conducted by Finder revealed that 80% tipped another 25bp rate hike, which would take the cash rate to 3.10%.

Sustainable land management and carbon credit development company Fertoz (ASX:FTZ) announced a sales update for the coming months including that it has received orders for 18,000 tonnes of its new Fertify fertiliser pellet product.
Production of the product will start under a joint venture in Montana, USA in early 2023. FTZ is also seeing strong demand for its rock phosphate, with 2023 orders anticipated to grow by 230% on 2022 production volumes.
Pancontinental Energy (ASX:PCL) rose this morning after announcing the current initial exploration period of its Nambia offshore licence PEL 87 had been extended for a second one-year period.
An obligatory 50% reliniquishment of the licence area has been waived, leaving the licence area at 10,970km until the expiry of the extended term.
