Stockhead’s Top 10 at 10, published at 10.30am each trading day, highlights the best (and worst) performing ASX stocks in morning trade using live data.

It’s a short, sharp update to help frame the trading day by showing the biggest movers in percentage terms.

The market opens at 10am (eastern time) and the data is taken at 10:15am, once every ASX stock has commenced trading.

Today’s biggest winners include Chase Mining (ASX:CML) who’ve nabbed three rare earths and uranium exploration licences comprising the Barkly North project in the NT.

The licences cover the eastern half of the 160km long rare earths trend with high values in supporting elements, notably niobium, chrome and uranium.

CML believes there’s a previously unrecognised ionic clay hosted rare earths deposit – which are cheaper to mine and process than hard rock rare earths deposits – plus the waste material does not present problems with toxic elements.

Surface sampling will kick off shortly, with shallow drilling planned in the drier months of 2023.

And Riversgold (ASX:RGL) has secured an option to acquire 80% of lithium rights to E77/2784, which is just 600m east of Covalent Lithium’s Mt Holland mine – where the Earl Grey deposit contains a resource of 189Mt at 1.5% lithium oxide (Li2O).

“We believe there is great potential for the Earl Grey and Bounty systems to continue into the E77/2784 tenement,” CEO Julian Ford says.
