True North Copper (ASX:TNC) has announced “exceptional high-grade copper-cobalt-silver mineralisation” at the company’s first drillhole of an initial diamond drilling program at the Vero Resource, part of its 100% owned Mt Oxide project in Queensland.

Specifically, TNC has intersected 66.5m at 4.95% copper, 32.7 g/t silver in the first drillhole, and 685 ppm cobalt from 234.00m^ – including 20.60m at 10.51% copper and 63g/t silver, among other strong results highlighted in its announcement to the ASX this morning.

Planning for follow-up drilling, airborne geophysics, district scale mapping and development of a new 3D mineral system model are underway.

 

MPower (ASX:MPR), a specialist in renewable energy and battery storage development, has made a $6.1 million profit on its acquisition of the Lakeland Solar & Storage Project in Cooktown Shire, North Queensland.

The company notes the gain reflects operational and financial improvements implemented by MPower at the time of the Lakeland acquisition in August 2022. Lakeland is now worth $12.7m according to an independent external valuation.
